Senior Year
This next year i'm going to be a senior finally! I'm so excited because that means I just have one more year of high school and then i'm off to college. This next year I plan to stay really focused in school and get really good grades in all my classes. I plan to get better in writing essays due to the fact that i'm going to have to write many of them in college. I plan to continue working to get money for my senior dues. I plan to be more active in school activities I want to join the NHS or SGA. I plan to make my senior year a memorable year. I hope to come up with a good CAPSTONE project. Do community service not just to get my hours but to help people out as well. I plan to make prom night one the best nights ever with my friends. Start applying for college since the beginning of the year, learn more about colleges, try to take some college courses. Just make it a great year! Class of 2012!
Financial Aid
In order to go to college I plan to get financial aid and scholarships if possible. Year by year the college pay gets more expensive and that's why there are scholarships and financial aid. This help in order for you to go to college. There are many scholarships and I plan to apply for many. And financial aid is for everybody that can't really afford college. Also always pay attention what is going on around you watch the news sometimes they pass information about scholarships, and also internet will always help. If you go to college fairs that helps also. There is financial aid that you don't even have to pay off, or the ones that you pay off after you finish college and get a job. Its very easy and it's helpful, so I plan to get it.
Texas Common Application Essay
Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence.
Mom
In my life I have always known one person since the beginning. That would be my mom, the one person that I know i can trust with everything, the one that I know will always be there for me. I truly appreciate her. She has influenced me in many ways. She tells me everyday is a privilege in life and that we must make it the best it can be. To always smile and not to stress out because that doesn't help. She always tells me to stay in school because education is the key to success. My mom for me is like superwoman, she always helps me with what is possible. She has influenced me in being a very strong person no matter what.
I can say today that i'm the way i'm because of my mom. When there is a problem I just don't let it be I try to fix it because that's what is right to do. She always says don't leave what can be done today for tomorrow. She is the best mom anyone could have well that's according to me. She is the mother of four children, works all the time, has to pay bills, do so many things and such little time to me that's incredible. By her doing all of this I believe everything is possible that can become anything. My mom lost her mom at a young age, so I never met my grandma. My mom had many siblings and she was the oldest one so she had to help around the house a lot more. She only went to middle school and she always says she would have liked to have finished high school, because education is very important. She wants my brothers and I to finish high school so we have a better life that we make a decent amount of money to live life not worrying about money. She always helps to make me look at life at a different perspective in a positive way.
The one time that my mom influenced me the most was when she was sick in the hospital. I remember that time i cried because I was scared of loosing the person I care for the most. I remember she always told me everything was going to be okay, that she was going to get better. During that time I saw her suffer because of the pain she was in but at the same time she was being strong for us, as in my siblings and I. I think when i saw her go through this it was very hard for me, I cried and I was stressed out I worried for her very much. I prayed to God every night that she would get better I never gave up. And it showed off in the end she's better now she is back to normal. She didn't work for like two months and it was hard on us. But she always said money wasn't and shouldn't be everything. I think she influenced not just me but my whole family to be united and to believe everything will get better. From this she influenced me to stay strong through everything through hard times too. That would be one the most significant influence anybody has ever done for me to be strong no matter what. That's why I love my mom I wake up every morning wanting a better a life so one day i'll give her what she deserves.

Reflection
Through out this year I think my writing has improved somewhat. Personally I think that I could have improved more, but the fact that I don't really like writing a lot might have to do with it. But through out this year I have learned many writing skills that can make my writing better.
